10 Things to Know from QFF

1. Maintaining the momentum from a productive 16-strong delegation to the Queensland Premier earlier this month, QFF are leading a Queensland Parliamentary e-petition, sponsored by Robbie Katter MP, calling on the Queensland government to put regulations in place to protect the Queensland component of the GAB from future CCS proposals. 2. The Interim Report of the Review of the Grocery Code of Conduct was released last week with independent reviewer Dr Craig Emerson recommending the currently voluntary Code be made mandatory, alongside the introduction of substantial and enforceable penalties. Read more here. Queensland Fruit & Vegetable Growers have weighed in saying the change will only be a benefit if we get the reporting process right, so growers feel completely protected to speak up.
